Description: Smart Growth is an approach to land use and development that seeks to protect the natural environment and make cities, towns, and neighborhoods in Greater Philadelphia economically stronger. Smart Growth planning prioritizes investment in existing urban centers and older communities with existing infrastructure rather than the development of open space and farmland into suburban sprawl. DVRPC’s Office of Smart Growth works with partners throughout the region to promote land use and transportation planning that results in compact, mixed-use development, diverse housing and transportation options, and meaningful community engagement.Data Dictionary:geoid - GEOIDmun_name - Municipalitystate - Stateco_name - County muni_web - Township/Borough Websitestorm_fee - Municipal Stormwater Feeadu_ord - Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinancesalt_energy - Alternative Energy Ordinancesform_code - Form-Based Codesgreen_bldg - Green Building Ordinancesmulti_comp - Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plansoff_maps - Official Mapspark_fee - Reserve Parking or Fee-In-Lieu Parking Ordinancesshare_park - Shared Parking Ordinancestrad_neig - Traditional Neighborhood Design Ordinances (or Traditional Neighborhood Overlay District)tod_ord - TOD Ordinancestrans_vil - Transit Village and Sustainable Jersey Designationscomp_st - Complete Streets Ordinances or Resolutionsbike_plan - Bicycle Master Plansped_plan - Pedestrian Master Plans
